Wool/walk from certified organic animal husbandry (kbT)

Pure wool from certified organic animal husbandry (kbT) is knitted to a high quality in Italy and then felted. Walk is the traditional, naturally water-repellent material used by mountaineers. It cleans itself, is very hard-wearing, breathable and very warm. Wool is a natural product and therefore an important raw material for us as a company that thinks sustainably.
Virgin wool is a spun fiber that is obtained from the soft fur of the animal by shearing or combing it. We do not use any dying wool or ripped wool for our products. Only high-quality virgin wool (kbT) is used.
We only use wool from sheep that have not been treated with the so-called mulesing process.
Mulesing is a process designed to protect the sheep from fly infestation. The skin around the tail of the lambs is removed. This painful procedure, which is usually carried out without the administration of painkillers, is intended to prevent infestation with fly maggots.
We – as animal and human friends – are against such a procedure.
