Recycled wool and cotton extend the useful life of fibers that have already been processed. They are obtained from sorted and cleaned fibers. This greatly reduces the consumption of virgin material.
Recycled cotton fibers are obtained from fabric remnants or old textiles. During mechanical recycling, the color-sorted textiles are shredded back into fibers and then spun into new yarns. This produces a quality that can be used in a mixture with fresh fibers. This saves on resource-intensive virgin material.
