The natural fiber TENCEL™ has very special properties, as it absorbs moisture, is very breathable, cools when warm and warms when cold. Irrespective of its ecological benefits, it is also very suitable for allergy sufferers.
TENCEL™ is mainly obtained from eucalyptus wood. The tree is grown on land that cannot be used for food cultivation. Cultivation requires 80% less water than cotton and produces six times the yield.
The unique, closed production process developed by Lenzing makes TENCEL™ a fiber of the future, as the solvent used is almost 100% recycled. The closed cycle was honored by the European Union with the “European Award for the Environment”.
